New Delhi: The Defence Sector ICT (Information and communication technology) Conclave 2024, organised by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) along with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi, showcased 18 Indian telecom companies’ products, a PIB press release stated.

The conclave, in its inaugural session, drew participation from representatives of more than 14 African countries. The event provided an opportunity for the telecom companies to showcase their products and services to the African continent and to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

The products on display were designed and manufactured in India, and were exported to over 100 countries in 2023. This showcases the strength of the Indian manufacturing sector and its ability to compete globally. The Indian telecom industry is now competing with the best manufacturers worldwide, said Madhu Arora, Member (Technology), Digital Communications Commission, Department of Telecom.
