India to host anti-doping training

International experts will gather for 4-day results management training for GLDF Training, a key component of WADA's capacity-building framework.

New Delhi: India, in partnership with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), will host the Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF) Results Management Training in New Delhi between 19 and 22 November. The training, organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) India in collaboration with WADA and with support from the Japan Sports Agency (JSA) and Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA), aims to bolster the technical expertise of anti-doping professionals in results management.

The four-day program will welcome participants from over 10 countries, including Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Kyrgyzstan, and Laos. Representatives from international organizations like WADA, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), and the Badminton World Federation (BWF) will also participate.

The GLDF Training, a key component of WADA’s capacity-building framework, focuses on enhancing the skills of anti-doping practitioners in areas such as case management, adjudication processes, and the application of the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards. The training aims to harmonize anti-doping procedures, promote international collaboration, and fortify the global sport integrity framework. “It is designed to enhance the technical expertise of anti-doping practitioners in various programme areas, this one is particularly focused on results management.,” the release stated.
