Srinagar, Mar 28 (PTI) Police in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday attached a residential property under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug-related activities, an officer said.

The house belonged to Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, a resident of Barbugh Imamsahib, and was allegedly acquired using proceeds from the illegal sale of narcotics, he said.

“As part of its ongoing drive against narcotics-related activities, police in Shopian have attached a single-storey residential house valued at Rs 18.88 lakh,” a police spokesman said.

“The attachment process was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team, executive magistrate, lambardar and chowkidar, ensuring full compliance with all legal procedures and protocols,” he said. PTI MIJ RHL
