Shimla, Mar 26 (PTI) The weather in Himachal Pradesh has been mainly dry over the past 24 hours, since Wednesday evening, with the exceptions of 1 cm of snow recorded in Gondla and 1.2 mm of rain in Kukumseri, the Shimla MeT office said on Thursday.
The meteorological office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds, expected to reach speeds of 30-50 kmph, in isolated areas of eight out of the twelve districts in the state. The tribal districts of Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti are exempt from this warning, which is in effect for Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, light rain and snow are predicted at isolated locations on Friday, with light to moderate rain and snow expected at a few places on Saturday and Tuesday. Many areas may experience light to moderate rain and snow on Sunday and Monday as another Western Disturbance is anticipated to impact northwest India starting Saturday night.
