Panaji, Jul 16 (PTI) The Goa government has provided financial aid to 46 sports associations and 123 clubs to boost grassroots sports development across the coastal state, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said.
During a function held at Mantralaya, Porvorim, Sawant distributed the financial assistance to the sporting entities.
“We are empowering athletes, uplifting rural talent, and building a budding sports culture in the state,” he said.
The initiative, led by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, aims to provide vital support to sporting talents and infrastructure across Goa, Sawant said.
He said the monetary assistance would enable better performance and wider participation of the sportsmen from Goa in national and international events. PTI RPS NR
