Panaji, Apr 1 (PTI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday highlighted the need for technology-driven initiatives such as Farmer ID under Agri-Stack to build a comprehensive digital ecosystem for farmers, during a virtual meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The meeting was attended by agriculture ministers from various states who deliberated on key issues concerning the farm sector.
Sawant emphasised the importance of leveraging digital tools to improve service delivery and ensure better targeting of government schemes.
“The Farmer ID under Agri-Stack will help build a comprehensive digital ecosystem for farmers in Goa, enabling real-time agricultural support and empowering them with timely access to benefits,” he said in a statement.
Sawant stated that the state government remains focused on ensuring that small and marginal farmers receive timely inputs and fair market access.
He added that discussions on zonal conferences and collaborative participation among states would strengthen knowledge sharing and innovation, helping Goa adopt best practices suited to its unique agricultural landscape.
