Goa CM Pramod Sawant among JCI’s most influential Asia-Pacific members

Panaji, July 8 (PTI) Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is amongst the eight Indian members and alumni recognised as the most influential and representative members of Junior Chamber International for Asia and the Pacific 2025, it said on Tuesday.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global network of young leaders and entrepreneurs.

In a statement, JCI India’s National Director (PR) Kiran Bantu said chief minister Sawant is in the list of most influential and representative members of JCI for Asia and Pacific 2025 along with chairman of Gera Development Kumar Gera and MP Anil Bonde.

A senior JCI functionary said Sawant was a founder president of JCI Usgao (North Goa) in 2007 and was instrumental in starting JCI Sanquelim, a unit which he has been mentoring till now.

The award is being given to Sawant for the commitment towards society he has shown through the Swayampoorna Goa initiative and his success in steering the state through the COVID-19 crisis.

The award would be presented at the 110th Anniversary celebration function by JCI Philippines on July 17-18, the statement said. PTI RPS KRK
