Jaipur, Apr 11 (PTI) Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday questioned the BJP’s “Modi ki guarantee” narrative and alleged that promises made during the elections were not being fulfilled in Rajasthan.
In the last post in a series of posts titled “Intezarshastra”, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurances that ongoing welfare schemes and projects initiated by the previous Congress government would not be discontinued were not being implemented in letter and spirit.
Gehlot alleged that several public welfare projects and schemes launched during the previous Congress regime in Rajasthan were being ignored or weakened under the present BJP government.
“This amounted to political vendetta and impacted public welfare and development work in the state,” he said.
The former CM also claimed that there is a growing gap between the BJP’s electoral promises and ground realities in Rajasthan.
Gehlot alleged that such policies would not be acceptable to public and said that voters would respond accordingly in due course. PTI SDA — MNK MNK
