Gas pipeline leakage reported inside hospital in Central Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 24 (PTI) A gas pipeline leakage was reported inside the premises of civic-run Sion Hospital in Central Mumbai late on Tuesday night, officials said.

A civic official said as per information received from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the incident was reported near Gate No. 1, close to the college building within the hospital campus, at around 11 pm.

The leakage occurred in a pipeline of Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), prompting immediate response from emergency services, the official said, adding at least four fire engines and other fire fighting vehicles were dispatched to the spot.

Along with fire brigade, police and MGL personnel were rushed to the spot to handle the situation and ensure safety in the area. PTI KK RSY
