Surat, Apr 8 (PTI) Four members of a family were killed after their van crashed into a stationary truck near Palsana in Gujarat’s Surat on Wednesday, police said.
The accident occurred at 12.30 am, Bardoli Division Deputy Superintendent of Police H L Rathod said.
“The van rammed into a truck that was stationary due to its punctured tyre. The family of four, travelling from Mumbai to their native place in Gujarat’s Khambhat died on the spot in the accident,” he said.
The deceased were identified as Hozefa Adenwala (39), Murtuza Y Adenwala (45), Murtuza Z Adenwala (48) and Munira Adenwala (46), the police said.
After being alerted, police from Palsana rushed to the accident site and the bodies were sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, they said.
