After arriving in the state, the delegation got divided into three groups, with each visiting distribution centres and control rooms across Kamrup Metropolitan and Kamrup districts to observe ground-level election preparedness.
They later visited the Webcasting Monitoring Centre located within the office premises of the state’s Chief Electoral Officer.
A meeting was also held with Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Goel, State Police Nodal Officer Akhilesh Singh and other senior officials, who briefed the delegation about various aspects of the electoral process.
The delegates will visit polling stations in Kamrup Metropolitan and Kamrup districts on Thursday to observe the voting process, including mock polls, security arrangements and the use of election technology.
