Flying squad seizes Rs 50 lakh unaccounted cash from relative of TVK Lalgudi candidate

Lalgudi (Tamil Nadu) Apr 3 (PTI) An election flying squad team, led by Lalgudi Returning Officer (RO) seized Rs 50 lakh unaccounted cash from a 65-year-old resident of Valavanur village here, sources said.

According to Revenue Divisional Office sources, the man is a relative of TVK’s Lalgudi candidate Ku Pa Krishnan.

RO K Srithar told PTI that the election flying squad raided the house of a A Neelamegam based on a tip-off on April 2 night.

The tip-off was registered via election control room, based on which the Income Tax Department was also notified, the official said.
