Bengaluru, Mar 21 (PTI) An FIR has been registered against the owner of a luxury sports car after a video of the vehicle allegedly performing dangerous drifting maneuvers was widely shared on social media platforms, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday at Anil Kumble Circle here, they said.
Taking note of the video, the Cubbon Park Traffic police registered a case on its own against the owner of the luxury sports car bearing Karnataka registration number. The video showed the car performing drifts and high-speed turns, endearing public safety.
According to police, the driver performed stunts, including circling the junction. Some of the occupants of the car were also seen standing out of the sunroof and screaming.
“An FIR has been registered under sections pertaining to rash and negligent driving and endangering human life and efforts are being taken to trace those involved in the act,” a senior police officer said. PTI AMP SA
