Palamakulapalle (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 28 (PTI) A family of three, including a three-year-old girl, died on the spot here in Chittoor district when the car they were travelling in rammed into a bus from behind on Saturday, a police official said.

Palamaner sub-divisional police officer D Prabhakar said the accident occurred at 6.40 am at Palamakulapalle village, killing a man, his wife and their daughter.

“The car struck the bus from behind and went underneath it. The driver survived with a fracture, but the trio died on the spot,” Prabhakar told PTI.

According to the police, the bus was an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus belonging to the Palamaner depot, which had halted on the highway for passengers to alight.

Prabhakar noted that the deceased’s family had booked the car through an app and were arriving from Bengaluru. PTI STH ADB
