Ranchi, Mar 19 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday urged people to be engaged in sports to stay fit and healthy.

Speaking at the concluding function of the 17th Jharkhand police state-level sports competition at JAP-1 ground in Doranda here, Soren said the jawans are not only fulfilling the responsibility of the state’s security but are also showcasing their strength in sports.

“Our jawans have not only participated in national and international level competitions but also brought laurels to the country as well as the state,” he said.

The CM also felicitated the winners and runners-up of different sports events on the occasion.

“Sport is necessary for everyone to stay fit and healthy. Such sports events organised by Jharkhand police for its jawans are highly commendable,” he said. PTI SAN SAN RG
