The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) held a national workshop Tuesday on powering transformation for digital governance through enhanced user interface or experience (UX/UI) on websites or apps.

According to a statement by the ministry, the workshop brought together government, industry, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to discuss the challenges and practices in establishing effective UX/UI for public-facing digital services.

The event also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of External Affairs, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and the Common Service Centres.

As part of the initiative, the ministry will also award appreciation certificates to those who have crafted user-friendly and visually stunning UX/UI in product design.

Unique Identification Authority of India CEO and National Informatics Centre Director General Amit Agarwal said the improvement in the user experience can be achieved by following simple steps such as using the right font, the right color palette, and user-friendly design.
