New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI) The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday said assets worth Rs 2.79 crore of former Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) CMD Bhola Singh have been attached under the anti-money laundering law in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The properties include cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 1.94 crore and a residential flat located in SAIL City in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi worth Rs 85.45 lakh, it said in a statement.
Singh could not be contacted for a comment on the ED action against him.
The agency’s case stems from an FIR registered by the CBI against Singh.
The ED alleged that during the check period from January 1, 2022 to January 31, 2024, the former NCL CMD possessed assets of Rs 1.74 crore which was about 124 per cent more than his known sources of income. PTI NES KVK KVK
