Puducherry, Mar 17 (PTI) Election machinery in Puducherry on Tuesday launched a voter awareness programme, wherein Tamil messages explaining the importance of voting will be printed on the milk sachets sold by the cooperative milk producers federation.
The federation is popularly known as PONLAIT.
District Election Officer A Kulothungan launched the campaign here.
A release said that as many as 2.10 lakh households would be covered every day under this programme as the packets purchased at various booths of the PONLAIT would generate awareness about the importance of voting and also the discharge of democratic duties by the electorate.
