New Delhi, Mar 21 (PTI) Ahead of the Budget Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Speaker Vijender Gupta on Friday stressed the need for “shared dignity” of the House, while reviewing the preparedness of the assembly.
“The forthcoming Budget session must reflect the finest parliamentary traditions, where debate is informed, conduct is measured, and every intervention contributes meaningfully to public purpose,” Gupta said.
The second part of the Fourth Session (Budget Session) of the Eighth Legislative Assembly will be held from March 23 to March 25, he added.
The speaker assessed operational and procedural readiness, with officials stating that coordination among legislative, security and technical teams has been ensured for the smooth conduct of proceedings.
As part of efforts to modernise functioning, tablets have been installed on the desks of all members to enable real-time access to legislative business and official documents.
“In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the assembly will also introduce ‘Vidhan Sathi’, an in-house AI-enabled chatbot to assist members with legislative research,” Gupta said.
The speaker also said that the full rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be performed live at the commencement of each sitting and displayed on screens inside the House. PTI SSM MPL MPL
