Delhi records 16.4 deg C minimum temperature with ‘moderate’ AQI

New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI) Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 16.4 degrees Celsius, 0.9 notch below normal, on Wednesday, according to the weather department.

The daytime temperatures is set to cross 30 degrees Celsius, the department said, predicting partly cloudy sky in the city.

Minimum temperatures across other stations showed slight departures from normal levels. Palam recorded 16.8 degrees Celsius, 0.1 notch above normal, while Lodi Road logged 15.7 degrees Celsius, 0.7 notch above normal.

At the Ridge station, the minimum temperature stood at 16.8 degrees Celsius, 2.3 notches below normal, whereas Ayanagar recorded 15.7 degrees Celsius, 2.1 notch below normal.

The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 33 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the “moderate” category with an AQI of 185, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

As per CPCB standards, an AQI of 0-50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’, and 401-500 ‘severe’. PTI SSJ NB NB
