New Delhi, Apr 1 (PTI) Taking cognisance of a video circulating online, the Delhi Police has identified and initiated legal action against a man for driving on the wrong side of the Dwarka Expressway, an official said on Wednesday.

“Police traced the vehicle and its driver and registered a case under Section 281 (rash and negligent driving) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” a senior police officer said.

The incident came to light after a dash-cam video surfaced on social media showing a vehicle, suspected to be a taxi, being driven on the wrong side of the Dwarka Expressway. The vehicle suddenly appears in front of another car that was moving in the correct lane, forcing it to halt.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle on the wrong side then got out and allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the other motorist. The incident occurred near the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka.

No injuries were reported in the incident, the officer said, adding that further investigation is underway. PTI BM BM AMJ AMJ
