New Delhi, Apr 9 (PTI) In a push to make governance more citizen-centric, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has urged residents to directly share their grievances with him through the revived “LG Listening Post” platform and his Secretariat.

Sandhu, who has been interacting with Delhiites by visiting various locations in the city and via social media over the past month, said in a post on X that residents are encouraged to submit their concerns through the dedicated platform for timely redressal.

Emphasising responsive governance, the LG said, “Your voice matters, and we are committed to listening with sensitivity and responding with care.” With the renewed push, the “LG Listening Post” app, first introduced in 2007 during the tenure of former Delhi LG Tejendra Khanna, is expected to be revived and made more effective.

The LG also directed that the app be upgraded to align with the latest Android versions, it stated.

According to a statement, a dedicated cell under a senior officer in the LG Secretariat has been set up to receive and process complaints submitted through the platform, including via the official website, mobile application and email.

It stated that several grievances related to civic bodies such as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Development Authority and Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board have already been addressed in recent weeks after being flagged on social media and during public interactions.

It added that while some complaints are frivolous or driven by vested interests, many are genuine and can be resolved promptly and that even individual complaints often reflect larger issues affecting localities, and their resolution could help address long-pending civic problems.
