New Delhi, Mar 19 (PTI) Delhi Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Thursday emphasised practical and sustainable solutions to froth occurrence over Yamuna River.

Sandhu visited the Kalindi Kunj barrage along with senior officials from concerned departments to asses the situation.

“Visited the Kalindi Kunj Ghat along the Yamuna River, along with senior officials of concerned departments, to take a first-hand assessment of the current situation,” Sandhu said in a post on X.

He said that discussions were held on the involvement of local and international experts from leading scientific institutions and organisations to help identify practical and sustainable measures going forward.

This comes a day after Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh also visited the spot for a ground report on the recurring froth issue.

Froth on the Yamuna River on the Kalindi Kunj-Okhala barrage stretch is largely linked to the structural and flow conditions at the barrage, Singh said. PTI SSM SSM NB NB
