New Delhi, Mar 16 (PTI) A three-day budget session of the Delhi Assembly will commence from March 23, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Monday.

The decision to convene the budget session from March 23 to 25 was taken in a meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, it said.

The Economic Survey of Delhi will be tabled on the first day of the session and the budget for the 2026-27 fiscal will be presented in the House on March 24, it added.

Chief Minister Gupta, who also holds the finance portfolio, will table the second budget of the BJP government formed in February 2025. Last year, she tabled the budget for 2025-26 to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore.

This year, the budget is expected to be a little higher than that of the previous year, focusing on education, health, infrastructure and green initiatives, officials said. PTI VIT VIT NSD NSD
