New Delhi, Apr 6 (PTI) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, celebrated the 47th Foundation Day of the party on Monday, hoisting the flag of the saffron office at the state unit office.

Senior party leaders and workers, including national general secretary Arun Singh joined the programme held at the Delhi BJP office on DDU Marg.

“The history of the BJP is filled with sacrifice, dedication, and struggle, and today it has become the world’s largest democratic organisation,” Singh said, addressing the gathering.

The state office was decorated on the occasion, and party offices in the districts across the city were also venues of various programmes marking the BJP’s Foundation Day.

Singh stated that the strength of the party lies in its millions of dedicated workers who selflessly serve the last person in society, and urged all workers to pledge to contribute with greater energy and dedication to nation-building.

Delhi Chief Minister Gupta said that the BJP has come a long way, and its workers, driven by the spirit of “Nation First,” are continuously working in the interest of the country.

She congratulated all party workers on the occasion and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every worker is committed to making India a global leader and ensuring dignity for every citizen.

Delhi BJP president Sachdeva said that the journey that began with the Jana Sangh continues to move forward with the same ideology.

Leaders like Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee devoted their entire lives to the party’s ideology, and as a result, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is in power at the Centre, and the NDA governs in 20 states, he added.
