Day temperatures hover below normal in Haryana, Punjab: Met

Chandigarh, Apr 6 (PTI) Day temperatures in Haryana and Punjab hovered below normal limits on Monday, the weather department said.

Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 31.9 degrees Celsius, according to the Met here.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 32.8 degrees Celsius, followed by 33.6 degrees Celsius in Rohtak, 33.4 degrees Celsius in Hisar, 33 degrees Celsius in Bhiwani, 32.5 degrees Celsius in Narnaul and 31.4 degrees Celsius in Gurugram.

Patiala in Punjab logged a high of 32.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 31.6 degrees Celsius in Ludhiana, 30.5 degrees Celsius in Faridkot and 29.3 degrees Celsius in Amritsar.

Hoshiarpur and Mohali recorded respective maximums of 30.3 degrees and 31.4 degrees Celsius, the weather office added.
