New Delhi, Mar 22 (PTI) The Congress on Sunday greeted the people on Bihar Day, with Rahul Gandhi describing the state as India’s treasure trove of knowledge.

“Bihar is India’s treasure trove of knowledge and our pride – which has always guided the nation with its rich history and culture.

“Heartfelt greetings to all the residents of the state on Bihar Day,” the leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said in Hindi on X.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge called Bihar a sacred land of democracy and a symbol of the tradition of knowledge and civilisation.

“From this very land, Mahatma Gandhi gave a new direction to the voice of the countrymen against the British regime.

“On this auspicious occasion of Bihar Day, heartfelt greetings to all the people of the state,” he said in Hindi on X.

“It is our wish that all of you continue to make your invaluable contribution to the progress and development of the nation,” the Congress chief added.
