The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has launched the Pharma Research in AyurGyan And Techno Innovation (PRAGATI-2024) initiative to promote research and innovation in the field of ayurveda, a PIB press release stated.
The initiative aims to provide an opportunity for collaborative research between CCRAS and the ayurveda drug industry. The launch of PRAGATI-2024 was marked by the presence of various dignitaries including Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush; Rabinarayan Acharya, DG, CCRAS; and Koustubha Upadhaya, Advisor (Ayu.), Ministry of Ayush.
In his address, Kotecha highlighted the growing importance of the ayurveda industry in India and worldwide. He emphasised the need for research and innovation to drive growth in the sector. He also expressed confidence that the new practitioners and startups in the industry will present tremendous growth opportunities.
