CCRAS, CIM&H & CSMCARI sign MoU for ‘research on standardisation of Indian medicine’

They will carry out testing of selected raw drugs and finished products for the purpose of standardization of 'Indian medicine'.

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRS), Commissionerate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (CIM&H) and Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CSMCARI), said the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

The primary objective is to collaborate on “Research Studies for the Standardization and Evaluation of Toxicity Studies for the Preparation of Selected Higher Order Medicines”.

As part of it, they will carry out testing of selected raw drugs and finished products for the purpose of standardization of medicine, and also to provide NABL Accreditation Training guidance to the Laboratory of CIM&H.

According to Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS, “This MoU between CCRAS and CIM&H has set precedence for other states of India also, they can come forward and join hands with CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush, for various research and development activities.”
