Mumbai, Mar 23 (PTI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Monday removed 33 structures at Versova that were obstructing the ongoing Mumbai Coastal Road (North) project, officials said.
The action was carried out by K-West ward, targeting constructions that were hindering progress of the proposed road stretch between Versova and Dahisar, a civic body release said.
“Of the 33 structures demolished, three were residential and 29 were commercial. One of the property owners has approached court, and the matter is scheduled to be heard on March 24,” it added.
The release said proposals are in place to remove 12 more structures falling under the jurisdiction of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. PTI KK BNM
