Ranchi, Apr 7 (PTI) Jharkhand BJP chief Aditya Sahu on Tuesday said the party’s aim is to form a “double-engine” government in the state in 2029.

Addressing newly elected party office-bearers, Sahu urged them to expose the alleged wrongdoings of the JMM-led state government at their respective levels.

“With new responsibilities, we cannot sit back and relax. We have to fulfil our resolve to uproot this oppressive government from its very roots,” he said.

“Our party’s goal is to form a double-engine government in Jharkhand in 2029. The resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat will only be fulfilled when a double-engine government is formed in the state. The people of the state are with us,” he said.

Leader of the opposition in Jharkhand Assembly, Babulal Marandi, said the people were fed up with the state government and alleged that the JMM-led administration was taking anti-people decisions and was “the most corrupt government in the country.” The party has prepared a blueprint for a state-wide protest on the issue of electricity on April 17, according to a statement.

“The party has decided to hold demonstrations in front of the offices of the executive engineer of the electricity department in all districts. The protests will focus on the problems being faced by the common people due to power cuts, hike in electricity rates, and discrepancies in electricity bills,” it said. PTI SAN SAN MNB
