BJP, Congress submit star campaigners’ list to EC for Kerala polls

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 27 (PTI) Various political parties, including prominent ones like the BJP and Congress, have given to the EC the list of their star campaigners, which include PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul and daughter Priyanka and Shashi Tharoor.

The BJP’s list of star campaigners also include party president Nitin Nabin, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

Of these, Modi has already visited Kerala twice and is expected to arrive again in the state on Sunday.

The star campaigners of Congress, includes party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar and Sachin Pilot.

Rahul and Priyanka had visited the state prior to announcement of the poll dates, while Kharge, Tharoor and Pilot took part in election related activities in Kerala after that.

Besides them, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is also among the star campaigners whose list has been given to the EC.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas), Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and the Bahujan Samaj Party have also given a list of their star campaigners, which include their party chiefs, who might participate in political events in the poll-bound state. PTI HMP ROH
