Patna, Mar 23 (PTI) Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar on Monday announced the results for the annual Intermediate (class 12) examination, with the pass percentage being 85.19 per cent.
Talking to reporters, Kumar said, “This is the eighth consecutive time that Bihar has announced Intermediate results before any other state in the country.
A total of 13.04 lakh students had appeared for the annual intermediate exam.
The Education minister said that the overall pass percentage of students this time was around 85.19 per cent — 86.23 per cent for girls and 84.09 per cent for boys.
“Out of the total 26 toppers, 19 are female and the rest are male. While a boy has topped the examination in the science stream, toppers in the arts and commerce streams are female students,” he said.
The education minister said that through the use of technology, the evaluation process was completed within 25 days.
He said that the examination and evaluation processes were conducted in a fair and transparent manner. PTI SUK RG
