Jalpaiguri (WB), Apr 8 (PTI) BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday led a roadshow in Mainaguri town of Jalpaiguri district in support of the party’s candidates for the West Bengal Assembly elections.
The streets reverberated with slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and other chants backing the saffron party as Nabin rode an open jeep flanked by BJP candidates.
Supporters carrying party flags and balloons lined the nearly two-km route from Hogla Factory to Natun Bazar bus terminus.
“The huge presence of people in this rally is an indicator of the BJP’s victory in the Assembly elections,” Nabin said.
