Guwahati, Apr 13 (PTI) Four suspected Bangladeshi nationals, including a minor, have been arrested here, for entering India “without valid documents”, police said on Monday.

A broker who allegedly helped them has also been apprehended, they said.

Based on a tip-off, the police arrested the Bangladeshi nationals on Sunday evening. The broker, a resident of Barpeta district, is a taxi driver by profession, a police officer said.

The Bangladeshis are currently at Dispur police station and will remain there till the process of sending them back is completed, he said.

A case has been registered against the broker under sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), the officer added. PTI DG RBT
