Amaravati, Mar 16 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday paid tributes to Potti Sriramulu on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary, recalling his “immense sacrifice” for the Telugu people.
The chief minister noted that Sriramulu’s life and struggle continue to inspire generations and stand as a symbol of dedication, sacrifice and commitment to justice.
“On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu, I pay my heartfelt tributes to him. The sacrifice of that great soul continues to inspire us even today,” said Naidu in a post on X.
He observed that Sriramulu followed the path of Mahatma Gandhi and actively participated in the freedom movement, dedicating his life to the ideals of truth and non-violence.
The chief minister further said that Sriramulu sacrificed his life demanding the formation of linguistic states, particularly a separate state for Telugu-speaking people.
