Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 1 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday visited Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district, accompanied by his spouse on the occasion of Sri Sitarama Kalyanam.
The CM, his spouse Nara Bhubaneswari and grandson Nara Devansh offered ‘pattu vastrams’ (silk robes) to the deity as part of the ongoing Sri Kodandarama Swamy Brahmotsavams.
“Naidu along with his spouse and grandson visited Kodandarama temple and offered pattu vastrams to the Lord on the occasion of Sri Sitarama Kalyanam,” an official release from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) said.
Upon his arrival, the chief minister was accorded a traditional ‘Poornakumbha Swagatam’ by temple priests. Later, Vedic scholars offered blessings to the CM.
On the occasion, the CM was presented with ‘Shesha Vastram’, Tirtha Prasadams and a portrait of Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Rama, the release added. PTI MS KH
