Amaravati, Apr 1 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday termed the passage of the Amaravati Bill in the Lok Sabha as a moment of honour for people.

The Centre passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in Lok Sabha, granting statutory recognition to Amaravati as the capital.

“The passage of this bill is a moment of honour. This is a recognition of the sacrifices of farmers and the aspirations of the people. The uncertainty surrounding Amaravati’s future has been permanently removed,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’. PTI MS GDK KH
