Chandigarh, Mar 29 (PTI) Three labourers were crushed to death after a house under repair collapsed in village Pharwahi in Punjab’s Barnala early hours on Sunday, police said.
Three labourers were crushed under the debris in the incident, Sadar SHO Jagjit Singh said, adding that the owner had given the repair work of the house to a contractor.
The house had been undergoing repair work, which included lifting and restoring the structure after it had developed structural damage, some locals told reporters.
A wall gave in after which the house collapsed, trapping the three labourers under the debris, the SHO said, adding that they were pulled out and rushed to the civil hospital in Barnala, where they were declared dead.
