Dehradun, Mar 16 (PTI) A 26-year-old woman, mother of a two-year-old child, was found dead here on Monday due to suspected drug abuse, officials said.
They said the body was found in a dilapidated room in the Raipur area of Dehradun, with preliminary investigations revealing that the woman was addicted to drugs and had died a day earlier.
The woman, Shivani Arora, of Ambiwala in Dehradun, was married to a person who is also a drug addict. He is currently at a de-addiction centre in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The couple had a two-year-old child, police said.
Police said that Shivani’s family members revealed she suffered from drug addiction and had been admitted to a rehabilitation centre on multiple occasions. She had last left the rehabilitation centre in Haridwar just 15 days ago.
