Bihar: Campaigning for the first phase of assembly elections in Bihar concluded Wednesday, marking the end of an intense canvassing period in 121 constituencies across 18 districts. With voting scheduled for Thursday, political parties shifted their focus to the second phase, where the contest is expected to intensify further.

All eyes are now on the state’s three key political power centres—Chief Minister Nitish Kumar leading the Janata Dal (United) and the NDA, Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav from the Rashtriya Janata Dal, and political strategist-turned-leader Prashant Kishor, who is spearheading his newly-founded Jan Suraaj Party.
