New Delhi: Greetings from all quarters poured in for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 71 Friday.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu and various political leaders wished the PM on the occasion.

“Happy birthday and best wishes to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. I wish you good health and long life and continue to serve the nation with your well-known spirit of ‘Aharnisham Sevamahe‘ (day-and-night service),” tweeted President Kovind.

Vice-President Naidu said Modi’s exceptional vision, exemplary leadership and dedicated service have led to an all-around growth of the nation.

A number of opposition leaders also extended greetings to the PM, including NCP chief  Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who often targets the PM and the ruling BJP over the central government’s policies, tweeted: “Happy birthday, Modi ji.”

The Centre carried out a special vaccination drive ‘Vaccine Seva’ to mark Modi’s 71st birthday. As part of this drive, over 2 crore vaccine doses were administered, recording India’s highest-ever single day tally.
