New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s dream of double engine sarkar in Delhi came true after it swept aside the Aam Aadmi Party in this year’s election. The BJP won 48 of the 70 total assembly seats in Delhi, marking its return after a gap of 27 years.
On the joyous occasion, PM Narendra Modi addressed party workers and supporters at the BJP headquarters and thanked Delhiites for giving their mandate to the party. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief J.P. Nadda and other senior leaders were present at the BJP head office.
ThePrint captured the mood at the BJP headquarters as the sound of crackers, dhol beats and ‘Jai Shri Ram‘ chants filled the air.
