New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday laid the foundation stone for Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh.

Several ministers and BJP leaders, including Uttar Pradesh minister Sidharth N. Singh, tweeted images of what they said are pictures of the airport’s model, and thanked PM Modi.

Western UP BJP president Mohit Beniwa shared a poster thanking the prime minister, which included the same image.

Several news websites including Punjab Kesari, Dainik Jagran, and Zee News, among others, also shared the same image. Aaj Tak also captioned the image as ‘Noida airport’.

Fact check

The picture being widely circulated is actually is not of Jewar airport but of South Korea’s Incheon International Airport, a reverse image search reveals. The Incheon Airport is the largest airport in South Korea which was completed in 2001 and expanded in 2018.

The image is also not consistent with the 3D model of the upcoming airport which was unveiled earlier this year.
