The action drama film is backed by producer Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. It will start production later this month.

“The Queen Arrives… The epitome of versatility and excellence @nayanthara joins #SalmanKhanVamshiPaidipallyFilm. It’s an honour to have You on board for something truly special that’s underway,” the studio posted on Instagram.

Nayanthara is one of the most recognised names in south cinema, having starred in multiple Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Some of her hits include “Chandramukhi”, “Ghajini”, “Billa”, “Raja Rani”, “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” and “Viswasam”.

She made her Bollywood debut with “Jawan”, the 2023 blockbuster in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The movie, which earned over Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office, was directed by Atlee.

Paidipally is known for blockbuster hits such as “Yevadu”, “Oopiri”, “Maharshi” and “Varisu”.

Khan will next feature in “Maatrubhumi”, which was previously titled “Battle of Galwan”.

The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China and it is directed by Apoorva Lakhia of “Shootout at Lokhandwala” fame. PTI RB RB
