New Delhi: AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh are engaged in an online feud and fans, too, have picked sides. The heated exchange started with a shoutout by Diljit at the Indore leg of his Dil Luminati tour.
“Two of my brothers, Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, have started their tour; best of luck to them too,” Diljit had said.
But Dhillon didn’t take this too well, sharing his thoughts during a recent performance in Chandigarh. “I just want to say one small thing, brother. First, unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me. I don’t want to talk about what marketing is happening but first unblock me. I’ve been working for three years. Have you ever seen me in any controversy?,” said Dhillon.
The war of words that started at their respective concerts in different cities soon moved online.
While Dosanjh refuted claims, saying he had never blocked Dhillon, the latter shared a video showing that the ‘Lover’ singer had unblocked him after the response.
Old rivalries
Badshah, whose decade-old feud with Honey Singh never got resolved, had a few pearls of wisdom for the two Punjabi popstars. “Please don’t make the mistakes that we made. The world is ours for the taking. Like they say, ‘If you wanna go fast, go alone, but if you wanna go far, go together.’ United we stand,” wrote Badshah in his Instagram story without naming Dhillon and Dosanjh.
However, Badshah himself has an old rivalry to resolve with Honey Singh. During interviews for the promotion of his Netflix documentary, Honey Singh clarified that Badshah was just a client, and he was not angry at him because they are not close. He also said that no collaboration is on the cards between the two. Earlier in October this year, Singh had taken a dig at Badshah’s rap in an episode of Indian Idol.
Honey Singh made a surprise appearance on stage in the Delhi edition of Dhillon’s Brownpoint tour, performed Millionaire, and also announced a collaboration in 2025. Dhillon too acknowledged his contribution to Punjabi music and rap.
‘Don’t mess with the OG’
Like Honey Singh, Dhillon took to the stage at Karan Aujla’s ‘It Was All a Dream’ concert in Mumbai. In a video that is being shared, Dhillon took a dig at social media speculations. “A narrative is being pushed that these guys (Karan and him) don’t like each other, they don’t get along. But I’m going to tell you one thing, this social media is all corrupt. This is a narrative that people push. We f***ing love each other,” said the singer in a mix of Punjabi and English.
Dhillon’s response to Dosanjh hasn’t gone down well with the latter’s fans. “It is also a bitter truth that if this social media did not exist then you people would not have become such big artists, getting name and fame with limited talent has become easy and possible only through social media,” wrote one user.
Others pointed out that AP Dhillon might be jealous of Diljit Dosanjh, and that his response could have been better put.
A social media user who attended Aujla’s concert in Mumbai shared his two cents: “Karan Aujla needs AP and Divine to support his show. And all the 3 of you are pulling Diljeet down. But the entire crowd supports Diljit. So Mr Autotune and Aulja better not mess with the Real OG.”

Both are idiots. Why fight over idiots?
