Magnitude 7 earthquake strikes California, USGS says

(Reuters) -The magnitude of the earthquake that struck Ferndale, California on Thursday has been revised to 7 from 6.6, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), USGS said.

The U.S. National Tsunami Center also issued a tsunami warning.
