India’s Reliance beats Q3 profit view

(Reuters) – Reliance Industries on Thursday reported a better-than-expected third-quarter profit, helped by strong performance across its energy, retail and digital services segments.

The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate’s consolidated net profit grew 7.4% to 185.40 billion Indian rupees ($2.14 billion) in the quarter ended Dec. 31.

Analysts on average had expected 180.38 billion rupees, according to data compiled by LSEG.
