Department of Financial Services chairs review meeting with heads of Public Sector Banks

New Delhi: Dr. Vivek Joshi, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, chaired a review meeting with heads of Public Sector Banks (PSBs), in New Delhi, a PIB press release stated. 

The meeting was also attended by senior executives of UIDAI, NABARD, SIDBI , Mudra Ltd. CERSAI & NCGTC. Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a significant initiative for promoting financial inclusion, especially for women and small businesses. It provides easy-to-access funds for small businesses and women, helping them to invest in their business and generate employment opportunities. 

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is also a high-impact scheme that aims to provide financial security to low- and middle-income families. The government is also committed to promoting financial inclusion through the use of digital technologies. The Jan Samarth portal and Aadhar seeding are initiatives that are aimed at enhancing customer experience and strengthening financial inclusion.
