Kolkata, Jul 2 (PTI) Bandhan Bank on Wednesday said it has extended CSR grant to Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a joint initiative of the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts, to support delivery of affordable and standardised cancer care across 17 districts in the state over the next two years.

The extension of CSR grant was formalised at a ceremony in Guwahati, attended by Assam government officials, Bandhan Bank MD & CEO Partha Pratim Sengupta, and ACCF COO Dr (Maj Gen) Jai Prakash Prasad.

The grant will aid patients through various stages of treatment, including financial support for medical expenses, travel, and accommodation, aiming to ease the burden on vulnerable families and improve access to care, a statement said.

“Access to quality healthcare is fundamental to an equitable society. Through this partnership, we aim to support underprivileged cancer patients in Assam and the Northeast,” said Sengupta.

With nearly 500 touchpoints across Assam, Bandhan Bank serves around 15 lakh customers in the state. PTI BSM RG
